Patrick Flanagan. Senior Business Architect, Toronto.

“Ezra and I worked together in 2005 on the Engineering Materials Management System Phase Two Project -- a project for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to develop the business requirements and technical requirements for a planned system to automate the scheduling, results entry, and analysis of the test results for major highway construction projects. Ezra was on this project for approximately three months and reported to me in my capacity of Project Manager for the team provided by the project vendor. Ezra's primary role was as a business analyst/systems analyst. He was the lead for developing several of the project deliverables (e.g., user interface prototype, security requirements) and was involved in setting the overall direction for the project. Ezra was required to have expertise in: (a) developing and documenting business and technical requirements for the planned system, (b) assisting business subject matter experts in process redesign by providing facilitation and knowledge of best practices in areas such UI design and security, and (c) communicating with business areas including participating in the development of presentations and other material for validating requirements. Ezra was highly dedicated to the success of the project and consistently completed responsibilities on time. Ezra made significant contributions to the approach to the project by providing a strategic point of view. I would rehire Ezra; I can attest to his skills as a business analyst and I'm sure he could make significant contributions in other roles as well.”

Mark Lakernik, Director, Toronto.

As part of our business, we are involved in clinical trials for our revolutionary laser treatments. Receiving paper CRFs (Case Report Forms) from many sites in North America, in different formats, was difficult to process. Ezra's duty was to find ways to improve this process, by utilizing IT. Ezra's contributions were in two areas: (1) an immediate improvement by developing an application based on MS-Excel, so all sites started to send information in a common format, which enabled me to save them in a single "database", and (2) checking the availability of electronic CRF (eCRF) systems, Shelf-products for implementation, and coming with recommendations. Ezra brought to the project a long and broad experience as a consultant, in areas of business process improvement and IT analysis. His analytical thinking, quick learning abilities and interpersonal skills are, I believe, among his best strengths. I looked for someone with previous knowledge of the clinical trials and clinical research process, and in particular with proven improvements of IT and processes in the clinical data management. On the top of that, preparing RFPs and evaluating vendors' proposals was an area in which I expected a previous knowledge and experience. Ezra's specific job title was Senior Business Analyst; I preferred not to restrict him by a narrower title, since his role involved both business process analyst and business systems analyst areas. Ezra showed initiatives along this short project; it was Ezra’s idea to take this initiative gradually and to provide an immediate solution based on MS-Excel, and only then to launch the second phase, the eCRF applications. It is probably related to his years of experience and maturity that made Ezra so calm, relaxed, and professional when dealing with feedbacks and criticism. I will probably need Ezra for a couple of hours while implementing eCRF. I am aware that Ezra is extremely busy with his PhD studies and consulting; I wish I could afford hiring Ezra for a full time employment, but unfortunately I will not be able to keep him challenged most of the time.”

Gord Dubey. Senior Systems Analyst, Toronto.

“Ezra and I worked on a project for Ontario Ministry of Transportation in 2005, preparing the requirements documents. Ezra brought to the project a long and broad business-process-analysis experience and knowledge. His analytical thinking, quick learning abilities and interpersonal skills are among his best strengths.”

Tanya Davids. Senior Applications Developer, Toronto.

“I highly recommend Ezra for his analytical/systematic thinking, high level of accountability, result orientation, and teamwork. He strives to deliver high-quality products, pays close attention to customers' requirements, and takes pride in his work.”

Jack Shutzman. Senior Systems Analyst, New York.

“As someone who have worked with Ezra on a daily basis for several years, I can attest that Ezra is highly motivated and highly skilled business analyst that can adjust and greatly contribute to any organization. His professionalism is second to none. Ezra can motivate others and elevate the overall output of a project to the satisfaction of all the involved parties.”

Michael Watter. CTO, Dubek, Israel.

“I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Ezra Bar on a project where he worked as a senior analyst. Ezra is a brilliant analyst who, during a relatively short period of time, has successfully completed a complex project. Ezra has excellent interpersonal skills, good self-learning skills and a high sense of responsibility to his employer. I wish Ezra Bar success.”

Eng. Jacob Gonen. General Manager, DFD Systems, Israel.

“Ezra and I founded the consultancy in 1986, and until 1998 Ezra managed it with a great success. Ezra’s commitment to projects and clients had no limits. While bringing my technical expertise to DFD, I have learned much from Ezra about running and managing the business. Ezra’s decision to move to Toronto has been a great loss to the company and to me, personally. I miss you as a partner, Ezra.”

Eng. Eliezer Shimoni. Head of Department,  Ministry of Defence, Israel.

“Since 1988, and for last 12 years, Mr. Ezra Bar has been engaged in our department in analysis and development of the following computer systems: (1) integrated complex system for calculating incentive payment, including a large number of users, and fully integrated into the HR and Payroll systems, and (2) information system for supporting the job descriptions for the entire Ministry. Mr. Bar served as a consultant in the department, in the matters of improving and computerizing work processes and procedures; his work resulted in a great saving of tax-payers' money, and better services. I am thoroughly satisfied with the professional work done by Mr. Bar, with his commitment to results, and excellent team working and interpersonal traits. Ezra's decision to move to Toronto is a great loss to the department; yet, I, and everyone who has worked with Ezra, wish him good luck and continued success.”

Eng. Reuven Pardes. Senior Management Consultant,  Israel.

I began to work with Ezra in 1986, where I was a project leader and he was a business systems analyst in my team. At that time, I insisted to have Ezra on my team. Later I started my own consulting firm and frequently called Ezra (while he was already a Freelance, running his own company) to lead some of the projects that we performed. Most of the IS/IT projects we had performed for more than a decade, included Analyzing, Designing, Implementing and Deploying of information systems for large and medium organizations (some of them were very complicated). Another related area was the business process analysis, requirements gathering, procedures development and process improvements. Ezra immediately showed his ability to analyze and comprehend the customer’s requirements and was very creative in developing intelligent and practical solutions. Ezra established strong and fruitful working relationships with customers and peers. Ezra was very independent, needed very little supervision and was very fruitful. Ezra has proved his excellent ability to perform calmly and effectively under pressure and tight time tables. Customers were always very satisfied and appreciated his work.

Dr. David Gonen. Bio-Development,  Chicago, USA.

In 1995 I hired Mr. Bar as a key team member for a project in the US. Mr. Bar's role was to analyze and develop the following documents: (a) the process analysis, (b) problems & requirements analysis, and (c) systems analysis. The plant in which the project had been done is a chemical process plant. The new system and work processes that Mr. Bar developed, had a calculated net saving of US$ 4.5 million over a five-year-period. Should I need someone to improve and automate business process in another project, Mr. Bar will definitely be the very first one I shall call; I am sure he will be a great resource, and if available, will play a key role in my team, again.

Tamara Goldfarb. General Manager,  Modergold S.A., Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“In 1993 we started a project of computerizing all activities in the plant, as well as in management departments. Mr. Ezra Bar, led and carried out the project, and prepared the following documents: description and analysis of existing condition, pointing out problematic processes and suggesting improved ones, including new computerized tools; detail computer requirements for software, hardware, and communication. Mr. Bar prepared the Request for Proposal, disseminated it to selected vendors, and was involved in comparing between the solutions and evaluating the proposals. Mr. Bar led the implementation of the system, including full training of employees and users. I am deeply impressed by the professional work of Ezra Bar, his comprehensive knowledge, and his ability to manage within the Spanish language which he had not been familiar with (the documents were written in English).”

Michael Bialik. Senior DBA,  Israel Air-force Computer Center.

“Serving as a senior DBA at the same computer centre where Ezra managed key IS Department, we worked closely on development, enhancement and maintenance of several applications. His leadership was characterized by openness, sincereness, promoting team work and flexible time. Ezra never had to "pull rank" for managing his department, no wonder Ezra’s team members and peers are still his friends.”
